Sales resume: quota, portfolio and process evidence
The examples below demonstrate effective structure. Never copy figures or skills you cannot verify.
Professional summary — example
B2B sales specialist with five years of experience acquiring SME clients. Delivered 112% of annual target, added 36 active accounts and maintained a 91% renewal rate. Use only genuine figures and specify the measurement period.
Numbers worth showing
Include quota attainment, revenue or margin, client count, average deal size, cycle length, conversion, retention and portfolio size. If data is confidential, use percentages, ranges or year-over-year changes.
Describe the sales model
Distinguish B2B from B2C, outbound from inbound, field from remote sales, and new business from account management. Add the segment, territory, CRM and stages you actually owned.
Common mistakes
Do not write only “acquired clients” without scale or result. Do not confuse revenue with margin. Never add a tool simply because it appears in the job ad. Tailoring should surface real experience, not invent it.
