Privacy Policy

This policy describes how CV.podziel.pl actually works: resume content is processed locally, while information pages may use Google advertising services after required consent.

1. Controller and contact

The service controller is the operator of the Podziel.pl network and owner of the podziel.pl domain. For privacy matters, use the current contact details published by the Podziel.pl operator. The service does not create user accounts or maintain a server-side database of resume content.

2. Data entered in the builder

Resume text, cover letters, recruitment notes and photos are processed in the browser. The application code does not send them to the project’s own server. PDF, DOCX, TXT, JSON and backup exports are initiated by the user and generated locally.

3. Device storage

Resume projects and the tracker may use IndexedDB. Interface settings, consent state, backup timestamps and preferences may use localStorage. The service worker and Cache Storage support the PWA and offline mode. Data remains on the device until deleted, cleared by the browser or replaced during backup import.

4. Full backup and deletion

Download a full backup before clearing browser data. It includes projects, tailored versions, tracker records and settings. Deletion cannot be undone after reload, so the application offers a safety backup first.

5. Technical data and server logs

The hosting provider may process standard delivery data such as IP address, request date, URL, browser information and response code. These logs should not contain text entered in the resume form because the builder does not submit it to a backend.

6. Advertising, Google AdSense and CMP

Public content pages may use Google AdSense and Google Privacy & Messaging (CMP). These services may process identifiers, cookies, IP address and device data according to the user’s choice and publisher configuration. Ads are disabled in the builder, document preview, tracker, import, export and interview preparation.

7. Purposes and legal bases

• delivering and protecting the site – the operator’s legitimate interest;
• storing settings needed for a user-selected feature – performance of that feature;
• advertising and optional technologies – consent where required;
• handling privacy requests – legal obligation and user communication.

8. Recipients and international transfers

Technical data may be available to the hosting provider and, when advertising is active, to Google and its partners according to CMP settings. Transfers outside the EEA may occur under safeguards used by the provider. Resume content is not intentionally sent to these services by the builder form.

9. Retention

Local data is retained until the user or browser removes it. Retention of technical and advertising data depends on hosting settings, Google policies and the user’s CMP choice.

10. User rights

Where the operator processes personal data, users may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object or withdraw consent. Users may also complain to the competent supervisory authority. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.

11. Security and user responsibility

The application limits imports, filters unsafe URLs and does not execute code from project files. Users are responsible for securely storing downloaded resumes and backups. Remove local data after use on a shared device.

12. Changes

This policy is updated when features, providers or legal requirements change. The update date appears at the top of the page.
