IT resume: concrete projects, technologies and outcomes
The examples below demonstrate effective structure. Never copy figures or skills you cannot verify.
Professional summary — a safe example
Backend developer with four years of Python and Django experience. Built services handling up to 600,000 daily requests, reduced a key endpoint response time by 34%, and introduced automated tests. Replace every technology, scale and result with facts you can verify.
What to include for each project
State the problem, your responsibility, technology stack, key technical decision and measurable outcome. Replace “built applications” with a structure such as: “Designed module X in Y, reducing process Z from A to B.” Share a repository or demo only when it is safe and permitted.
ATS readability mistakes
Do not replace technology names with icons, use skill bars, or list dozens of tools across multiple columns. Separate technologies used professionally from those encountered in training. Keep job titles and section headings conventional.
Junior and senior emphasis
A junior should highlight two to four completed projects, internships, teamwork and testing practice. A senior should show system scale, architectural decisions, reliability, mentoring, production ownership and impact on cost or delivery time.
